The rebirth of Belle Isle Park presents an unfolding array of things to appreciate. This Summer MORE will meet at the newly-remodeled Belle Isle Nature Center, where long-time MORE presenter Mike Reed will lead a tour that includes a walk to the eastern point of Belle Isle to see the famous Livingston Lighthouse—the world’s only lighthouse built of marble! After this experience, at 1:30pm, MORE has arranged for a tour of the Belle Isle Aquarium, which was not available for tour during last summer’s Belle Isle event.
Notes: There will be an additional charge of $6 for the aquarium event and will be limited to 40 participants. Please meet at the Belle Isle Nature Center. There are several lovely spots available on the island—a short walk or drive away—please plan to bring your own lunch to enjoy between sessions.
